Dobro a carta. Ponho no bolso da jaqueta. Esqueço. Três meses depois encontro a jaqueta. A carta ainda lá. Não mando. Guardo na gaveta com outras coisas que eu deveria ter feito.

I write to my brother. He lives far away. It has been three years. I tell him about work the rain that will not stop the neighbor who died. In the middle I write one line. I met someone. I do not write her name. I write nothing more. I fold the letter. Put it in my jacket pocket. Forget. Three months later I find the jacket. The letter still there. I do not send it. I keep it in the drawer with other things I should have done.
